This article reviews some of the basics of squirrel cage rotor design including magnetic fields, rotor bar material, rotor bar profile and stator slot-rotor bar combinations.
Este artículo revisa algunos de los conceptos básicos de diseño de rotor de jaula de ardilla, incluyendo campos magnéticos, material de la barra del rotor, perfil barra de y rotor combinaciones de barras ranura de rotor estator.
Occasionally, someone asks how much current a squirrel cage rotor bar carries. That's an interesting question, and the answer depends on several factors. This article discusses those factors.
When manufacturers design a motor, there are many variables. For a given stator, the winding has to conform to some fairly rigid rules, and there is not a lot of variance, even among different manufacturers. However, the rotor design is wide open. The variables in the rotor design include: the number of bars, bar material, bar shape, end ring design, skew, air gap, and construction (cast or fabricated). All of these will ultimately have an impact on the speed torque characteristics of a motor. Unfortunately, because of the rotor design, it is difficult to alter the basic shape of the speed torque curve of a motor in for repair by modifying the stator winding.
This 40-page booklet provides great advice for obtaining the longest, most efficient and cost-effective operation from general and definite purpose electric motors.
This booklet covers topics such as:
