Course length: Two days
Available as a condensed course: Yes (see details)
Maximum number of students: 30
Instructor: Gene Vogel, EASA Pump & Vibration Specialist
The seminar will cover the common repair procedures for centrifugal pumps, including submersible pumps, vertical turbine pumps, single stage end suction pumps and split case pumps. The procedures are also applicable to other style pumps. For each type of pump, the inspection, disassembly, evaluation, repair and reassembly functions are presented. General pump test procedures will also be discussed.
Note: Many specific mechanical repair procedures are common to electric motor repair and are covered in detail in the EASA Mechanical Repair Fundamentals seminar.
Condensed course available
This course is also available in a condensed one-day seminar, focusing only on submersible pumps. Submersible pumps are a vital component of everyday operations for most major industries including municipal water and wastewater, mining and construction, agriculture, food processing and manufacturing. Most service centers encounter them on a regular basis, but their repair presents some challenges beyond standard motor repair. This seminar will provide the fundamental knowledge needed to be successful in repairing submersible pumps.
