EASA provides a lot of valuable resources for members to utilize, including engineering support, sales and management training. One of the things we don’t talk enough about is how we, as members, can utilize these resources with our clients and prospective clients.

One of the ways in which you can utilize some of these resources is at a trade show. Many EASA members go to some form of a trade show. Some members who work for larger companies may go to a 10,000+ attendee national trade show and others may go to a small (<100 people) local trade show. Some are general manufacturing trade shows, and others may be industry specific such as a local water/wastewater conference. Some may even be local job fairs, which are great recruiting events if you need to add someone to your team.

So where does EASA come in? EASA offers a variety of items and tools that make it easy for members to prepare for and participate in trade shows. Here are some of those tools from easa.com that can be purchased or downloaded.

EASA Marketing Materials

Mechanical & Electrical Handbooks – These are great tools to hand out as a giveaway at a trade show. You can get them imprinted with your company name and contact information. Whenever a customer or potential customer uses one of the handbooks, your company’s name is right in front of them.

ANSI/EASA Standard AR100 – You can have the ANSI/EASA Standard AR100 available in your booth as a handout or as a reference tool. This shows that your company has a commitment to quality, reliability and efficiency in your repair practices because as an EASA member (or accredited for those who are), you follow these specifications.

Electric Motors: Repair or Replace? – This presentation is ready to go. Literally, you can download this as a presentation and use it at a trade show as early as tomorrow. You can customize it to add your company’s information, and you can add additional slides. You can also remove slides you are not comfortable using. Show your expertise in motors by giving this presentation at a trade show!

Getting The Most From Your Electric Motors – This is a great resource that you can distribute at a trade show or even use as content for a presentation. Just imagine you or one of your team members presenting on key motor topics such as alignment, startup procedures, testing, greasing or nameplates. You can be seen as the expert because you utilize EASA content available to all EASA members.

The Effect of Repair/Rewinding on Premium Efficiency/ IE3 Motors – This study can be utilized as a presentation to convince clients and prospects that when you rewind a motor using good practices, it will retain its efficiency. This conclusion is not your opinion; it is fact based on the repair/rewind study.

Branded/Promotional Items – Visit EASA’s Online Store at easa.com to learn more about their custom-branded promotional products. You can order promotional calendars, coffee mugs, etc. and display your company information alongside the EASA logo. Hand these co-branded products out at a trade show, so your company’s name and the EASA logo are always in front of the client – right in their office!

Motors Drive Success – This is a great resource to use at job fairs when you are trying to attract talent. The Motors Drive Success presentation even comes with a script to follow. The presentation helps when you’re working to promote the electromechanical industry to prospective employees!

These are just a sampling of the many items that EASA has for use during a trade show. From presentations to handouts, you are covered by the great items EASA has available to you as a member.
