The EASA member logo is a powerful tool that can help EASA members grow their businesses. Why is this image so powerful? Because the EASA member logo means something to our employees, customers and vendors. The EASA member logo symbolizes that we stand with, are trained by and uphold standards created by an organization that is committed to bettering the rotating apparatus repair industry. When a customer sees that a motor shop and the EASA member logo are aligned, their mind automatically connects the dots that the motor shop has the information to follow industry-standard specifications and has access to industry-standard training.

In fact, past research has shown that customers know who EASA is and want to work with repair houses that are affiliated with EASA. Customers have confidence that the quality of service on work performed is higher when a shop is affiliated with EASA. One easy, inexpensive way to capitalize on this customer mindshare is to proudly display the EASA member logo whenever possible. Again, your customer views YOUR business in a more positive light when they see your company and the EASA member logo together. Below are a few illustrations of how EASA members can capitalize on the symbolism of the EASA member logo:

  • Website: Most EASA members have an updated, user-friendly website with daily traffic being driven to their site from multiple avenues. Placing the EASA member logo at the top, near the bottom or in another desirable place on your website sends the message that you are a partner with EASA. It lets customers know that you are an EASA member, something that has proven to resonate with their image of your business.
  • Business Cards: Another convenient way EASA shops have conveyed to their customers that they support EASA is by putting the EASA member logo on their business cards. The average outside sales representative is visiting 20-30 customers in a week and dropping off countless business cards. Capitalize on what you’re already doing by adding the EASA logo to your company business cards.
  • Marketing Materials: Similar to business cards, many EASA shops have added the EASA member logo to their line cards or other marketing materials. The materials serve as a complementary piece to the business card and can be shared on all customer visits.
  • Trade Show Banners: More and more EASA shops are participating in trade shows, career fairs or other similar avenues involving a company table or booth. In doing so, EASA members have created materials such as a table skirt or retractable trade show banner. Putting the EASA logo in the corner of your trade show banner shows the person visiting your booth that you are a strong partner and EASA advocate. If an attendee asks, you can spend just a couple of minutes to educate him/her on EASA and how important the association is to the industry and therefore to them.

  • Email Signature: There is no question that email is an important means of communication in business today. Many of your customers are sitting on their computers, looking at emails for over six hours every day. As depressing as that is, it also provides an opportunity for you to convey your partnership with EASA. With that in mind, many EASA shops have begun placing the EASA member logo next to their company logo in their email signatures.
  • Motors Drive Success: If you aren’t familiar with Motors Drive Success, please visit the resource tab on easa.com and click on Motors Drive Success. EASA has created both a powerful PowerPoint and video that can be used to recruit candidates to your EASA shop, namely from tech schools or other similar avenues. You have the ability to modify the PowerPoint to ensure it has both your company’s logo as well as the EASA logo, which elevates your business because the audience will associate you and your business to EASA.
  • Repair Tags: Most repair facilities “mark their territory” by placing repair tags on the motors they’ve repaired. Do your repair tags have the EASA member logo on them?
  • EASA Accreditation: And for those EASA members who have EASA Accredited facilities, did you know there is a separate logo you can use to display your accreditation? By displaying the EASA Accreditation logo (which can be done by following any of the suggestions listed in this article), you communicate to your customers that not only are you an EASA member, but you are a “Top Shelf” EASA member who adheres to the standards of AR100. For proof, look no further than the research that Plant Services magazine completed on end users (customers) in 2023 (go.easa.com/pmc).

Over the past few years, 64% of customers said they would consider making EASA Accreditation a future requirement in selecting a shop to complete their repair work. Sixty-four percent!!!! If you are an EASA Accredited business and aren’t sharing the logo to prove it, you’re missing out big time.

This leads us to where one can find the various EASA logos described above. The first, and most critical step, is to be logged in to easa.com using your EASA sign-in information. Once you’ve signed in, follow the instructions below. If you need assistance with this, just email Member Services at easainfo@easa.com or call +1 314 993 2220 during regular business hours.

  1. Go to Resources on the home page
  2. Mouse over Resources until you see the drop down menu
  3. Click on EASA Logo and Member Sign (https://easa.com/resources/logo)

To Obtain the EASA Accreditation Logo
After you become EASA-Accredited, you will receive an email from EASA Headquarters with Congratulations on Your EASA Accreditation! in the subject line. The email will include the Accreditation logo. You may also follow these steps:

  1. Log in to easa.com
  2. Select My Account
  3. Select My Company
  4. Select Accreditation
  5. Select a Record Here

In summary, let EASA help grow your business while at the same time elevating the EASA brand - which is important to all of us. We all know that EASA provides countless opportunities for training, support, recruiting and other resources to help EASA members all over the globe grow their businesses. If you aren’t using the EASA member logo to build your brand, you are missing a significant growth opportunity for both you and our association. It takes very little time, money and energy to use the EASA member logo. Look at it as a needle mover and make a commitment to use the EASA member logo wherever possible.
