Los motores verticales son un elemento común en la mayoría de los centros de servicio adscritos a EASA y existen diversas aplicaciones para ellos, sin embargo la mayoría de ellos se montan en bombas de turbina vertical (VTP). Los motores verticales pueden tener eje hueco o eje sólido; los de eje hueco se utilizan exclusivamente en VTP y en este tipo de aplicaciones la vibración es un problema común. Un artículo mucho más extenso podría ampliar el tema de la vibración de los motores verticales, pero este artículo se centrará en el desbalanceo y la vibración a 1x RPM.
